At Stubbs Park in Dublin, Ga.
Saturday, October 29 from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Dog walk and contest of best in show.

  • #7. Great Pumpkin Halloween Event

Takes place at Bass Pro Shops in Macon
Various events are scheduled from Oct. 21-31.
Activities include free photos, free crafts, in-store trick or treating, costume parade, marshmallow roast and apple dessert sampling.

Saturday, October 29, 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at GCSU front campus.

Face-painting, costume contests for kids and pooches.Registration begins at 10 a.m. for the pet walk.A $5 donation is requested to partcipate in the pet walk and contest.
  • #9. 70s Halloween Costume Party

at Al Shrine in Macon on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 9 p.m.

  • #10. Magic on Broadway

at Theatre Macon on October 31 at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $15 for admission. $10 if you are wearing a costume!
The evening begins at 6PM with a silent auction, hors d'oeuvres and music by local jazz artists. At 7:30 there will be a concert performed by the Mercer/Macon Symphony Youth Orchestra and singers from the Theatre Macon stage. 

All proceeds of the evening are to support both Theatre Macon and the Mercer/Macon Symphony Youth Orchestra in honor of the Parris family and memory of Dr. Robert Parris. For reservations call 478-301-5502.

  • #11 Haunted Trail
    A spooky, haunted trail guided by a Peach County firefighter offers good, family fun as well as a scare or two for the faint-hearted. Hosted by the Peach County Fire Department Post 900 Explorers as the primary fundraiser to pay for an annual competition in Gaitlinburg, TN. Location: Peach County Fire Dept, Station 1, 6711 Peach Parkway (Hwy 49 and 247 connector) Tickets are $7, starts at dark on October 14...For more information call 478-956-3642.

At Crooked Pines Farm in Eatonton. Friday and Saturdays from 7-11 p.m. 

  • #13. Halls of Havoc

at 7536 Knoxville Rd. in Lizella, Ga. on October 14. Ticket sales start at 7:30 p.m., the haunt is open from 8 until midnight.

What was once a school until 1972, and then a location for mentally ill is now a place you'll want to check for haunts...
Regular admission is $14.

  • #14. Spirits in October

At Historic Riverside Cemetery in Macon: Visitors purchase advance tickets online to reserve their one hour guided walking tour. Tours depart every 15 minutes from 6 - 9 pm, the last tour ending at 10 pm. Purchase online NOW at www.spiritsinoctober.ticketleap.com/2011. [Advance ticket is required.]

Actors in costume at graveside put a human face on history! The stories they enact will paint a picture of Civil War Macon - soldiers, mothers, African-Americans, Federals, Confederates.

$20 adults; $15 seniors & military; $10 students. $25 purchases a ticket and a one-year membership to Historic Riverside Cemetery Conservancy
