The coveted Redneck Games makes its return to Dublin this weekend!

TripAdvisor did name the Redneck Games in the top 10 Wackiest Summer Events in the United States.

So if you've never seen it, here is how you can catch it this year:

The event is $5 per person, children under 7 are free.

All the events take place at Buckeye Park at Boatramp Rd. in East Dublin.

Gates open at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9. Games start at noon.

You are weclome to bring coolers, but do not bring glass bottles or pets.

Redneck Games Named in Top 10 Wackiest Summer Events

TripAdvisor announced the top ten wackiest events in the United States, according to TripAdvisor editors.

Summer Redneck Games, that takes place in East Dublin was named number 5 of the Wackiest.

Of the event, TripAdvisor says, "Travelers can get down and dirty in Dublin for this one-day event, which draws crowds of over 5,000 attendees each year. For those that don’t find bobbin’ for pig’s feet appetizing, visitors can also participate in the hubcap hurl, mud-pit belly flop contest, or even test their talent for tossing toilet seats in a round of “Redneck Horseshoes”. Winners in each event will receive a glistening, half-crushed, mounted beer can. Admission is $5 and free for children under seven. "

TripAdvisor named the Humungus Fungus Festival  in Michigan as the Top Wackiest Summer Event.

Many of you may see a prominent ring or "halo" around the sun today.

According to astronomers, these halos are caused by ice crystals in the cirrus clouds high up in the atmosphere.

Do be careful if you are trying to view this phenomenon in the sky because even the shortest exposure to sunlight directly into your eyes could cause permanent eye damage.

Easter Bunny Visits Dublin Mall

The Easter Bunny visits the Dublin Mall this month.

April 15 marks Pajama Night with the Easter Bunny from 4 until 8 p.m. Children can wear their pajamas for their photo with the Easter Bunny.

April 22 Bring your pets to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny from 4-8 p.m.

The mall will be closed on Easter, April 24.
