 Halloween is on October 31st. The City of Dublin does not determine the offical dates and times for Trick or Treating.

Some guidelines for trick-or-treating from Lieutenant Fire Safety Officer Demetrius Ellison with Macon-Bibb Fire Department

  • Avoid costumes with long-trailing fabrics
  • If wearing masks, make sure eyeholes are large enough.
  • Avoid shortcuts
  • Don't get in strangers' cars.
  • Don't go in strangers' houses.
  • Go in big groups, don't go alone.
  • Check candy before eating.
  • Report any suspicious activity to police.
  • Obey all laws.
  • Only go trick-or-treating where you know the neighborhood.
  • Avoid houses that don't have on porch lights.

Recreation Authority To Host Fall Festival

Recreation Authority To Host Fall Festival

The Dublin-Laurens County Recreation Authority hosts its Fall Festival on October 22.

That's on Saturday from 6-9 p.m.

The event on DLCRA's website is described as an old-fashioned carnival with booths that feature fun and safe activities.

Booths are sponsored by various churches and organizations. Proceeds from activity costs go to their causes.

Admission is free, activity prices vary.
