  • Downtown Macon's Friday Fest 2nd Annual Christmas Caroling. Anyone can participate! Meet in Third St. Park at 6 p.m.
  • Tennille Christmas on the Square, Friday Dec. 9 at 5:30 p.m.
  • Eastman Christmas Parade starts Saturday, Dec. 10 at 1 p.m.
  • Gray Second Saturday Fest until 7 p.m. Santa is at the Carriage House from 2-7 p.m. Saturday.
  • Drive-thru nativity scene at Riverside UMC in Macon, open from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday [free admission]
  • Drive-thru nativity scene at Lighthouse Baptist Church on Sardis Church Rd. opens 6:30 p.m until 8 Friday and Saturday [free admission]
  • Drive-thru Bethlehem in Cochran, 6-8 p.m.Dec. 9, 10 & 11 [free admission] Bethany Baptist Church, 608 Ga. Hwy.

Dublin to Participate in Christmas Motorcade

Dublin to Participate in Christmas Motorcade

The City of Dublin will be represented in the Georgia Municipal Association's motorcade.

They'll participate in the parade around Central State Hospital in Milledgeville on December 6.

Folks in Dublin are asked to donate unwrapped gifts to Central State Hospital. 

Items can be dropped off until December 5 at the City of Dublin office:

  • PG and G movies
  • board games
  • adult men or women  clothing such as socks, undwear, PJs
  • deodrant
  • toothbrushes
  • other toiletries

Representatives from the City of Dublin will bring the gifts to the hospital.

On Veterans Day, we think of our national anthem and salute those men and women who really have heard “the bombs bursting in air.”

Most don’t make the front page or the evening news. Many return or retire and stow their uniforms in a box in the attic. A lot of Veterans slide back into some version of the life they knew before. And too many find themselves fighting new and different battles…with their personal demons.

Marine Corps League Detachment 970 of Macon, plans to once again participate in the ‘Christmas Wrap Program’ at the VA Hospital in Dublin, GA.  The program

gives small presents to all patients at the hospital.  Last year, over 300 patients received presents.  The hospital has a nursing home, Alzheimers Home, Homeless Home,
