First Friday Kicks Off Again Friday

DUBLIN, GA.--First Friday returns from winter hibernation  on Friday, March 2.

Stewart and Winfield, a band out of Athens and Savannah, will take the stage.

Their Facebook page says they shared the stage with Lady Antebellum in October.

March's First Friday will be included in the St. Patty's Blues and BBQ competition.

Everyone is invited!

MACON, GA.  - Miranda Lambert hits the stage on Thursday, February 23rd   with Chris Young and Jerrod Niemann at the Macon Centreplex.

What Do Dubliners Say?

DUBLIN, GA. - First it was flash mobs, then it was planking.  Now, "'things' (fill in the blank) say" is the Internet meme of the moment.

Of course, if you browse YouTube, people don't say "things" -- they say another word that's not fit to print here.

Take a look on YouTube and you'll find dozens of videos of funny things people who fit a particular demographic say.  What you won't see: "'Things' Dubliners say."

So we want to know.  What are some things that only Dubliners say?

Laurens Co. Library Storytime for Children

Children's Storytime takes place at the Laurens County Library on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and again at 7 p.m. on the following dates:

  • January 10
  • January 17
  • January 27
  • January 31

Storytime is free to the public.

The library is located at 801 Bellevue Ave. in Dublin.
