Race  fans, drivers, and others, you have asked for a Friday night stock car race.

Well, here it is, this Friday July 12th Dublin-441 Speedway hosts  "Friday Night Lights," $2,000 to win in Pitts Toyota Scion Late Models, added purse in Georgia Sports Arena Super Street, Vidalia Auto Salvage Pure Stock and Bombers.

Plus kids racing during intermission. Gates open at 5, racing begins at 8:00 p.m.

Arrive early, get a good seat, hang on....track will be in great shape!

After a few rain outs, and 441 only track with special event Fri., drivers will be have the petal to the metal. 

Admission $10.00-adults, $5.00 kids in grandstands, $25.00-adults, $10.00 kids in pits.

Mercer University Cheerleaders to Host Camp for Kids

The Mercer University Cheerleaders will hold a camp for children ages 5-14 July 8-12 and July 15-19.  The camp will be held at the Macon campus.  Times are are noon to 5 pm.  Cost is $120 per session and includes a T-shirt.

Swainsboro Raceway to Host Lucas Oil Late Model

Swainsboro Raceway host the Lucas Oil Late Model $10,000 to win Thur. night June 20, along with Crate Late Models paying $2,000 to win.

There will also be other local features.

Pit gates open at 2 p.m., main gate at 4 p.m.

Drivers meetinga at 7 p.m. with hot laps starting at 7:30 p.m.

Admission to the grandstands for adults is $25.00 and children ages  6-11 are $15.

For pit admission: Adults-$35.00, children 6-11-$20.00

Jimmy Haynes of Rentz, Ga. won His First Career Bomber Feature Sat. night May 18th at Dublin-441 Speedway. Terry Cummings placed second, followed by Bobby Willis, Graham Stevenson & Lee Stokes.

With the large number of Bomber contestants Speedway Officials divided them into two features.

Thomas Tanner of Wrightsville won the first feature followed by Jeff Myers, Robbie Bland, Josh Howell & Marty Davis. (while Haynes won #2 feature).Tyler Sanders of Dublin won the Vidalia Auto Salvage Pure Stock feature, followed by John Brantley,Keith Roberts, Morgan Sheffield, and Wesley Moss.

Bobby Piper of Warner Robins won the Georgia Sports Arena Super Street Classic ahead of John Sellers-Dublin, Jason Floyd-Cochran, Lance Beck-Warrenville, S. C., and Eric Baggett-Dublin.

In the Pitts Toyota Scion Crate Race Brian Conner emerged the winner ahead of Jimmy Thomas, Joshua Bishop, Blake Smith and Pearson Lee Williams.

Relay for Life in Laurens County

Relay for Life in Laurens County

Thirty teams are already gearing up for Relay for Life in Laurens County.

The thirty teams and 276 participants have raised 24,799.99 for the American Cancer Society so far, according to the Relay for Life website.

That total may not even reflect all donations.

The Relay for Life event in Laurens County is on May 17 at 6 p.m. at West Laurens Middle School.
