Dublin, GA - Students from Oconee Fall Line Technical College’s Electronics and Electricians Assistant programs toured the campus of MAGE Solar’s North American Headquarters and the MAGE Solar Academy in Dublin on Wednesday, March 13th. Students saw first-hand, the marriage of electronic devices with electrical power.
Students began with a tour of two exterior solar arrays – a car charging station and a ground mount array, both located at the Dublin facility.
“Solar is just one of the many fields open to our students once they complete a program in electronics and/or electricity,” said Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC) Instructor Lee Radney. “It’s important for them to be familiar with this technology and its possibilities.”
OFTC teaches its students with a two-part approach: classroom instruction to understand the concepts and hands-on labs to apply their knowledge and establish a greater depth of understanding.
“Tours like this allow our students to connect what they are learning and applying with real-world products and solutions,” continued Radney.
OFTC appreciates MAGE Solar allowing OFTC’s students to tour their facility and see energy production in action.
