OFTC PBL Students Excel at District Competition | Schools

Three OFTC students won four awards at Georgia’s Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) South District Conference competition in Macon at Middle Georgia State College on Friday, March 1st.
Cecila Adamson placed 1st in Business Communications and 2nd in Word Processing. Toni Williams and Jamie Griner placed 1st in Desktop Publishing, a team event, and Jamie Griner placed 5th in Accounting Principles.
“Each event tests the participants’ business knowledge and skills and prepares them for the state competition in April,” stated OFTC Computer Information Systems (CIS) Instructor Paul Scott. “I am very proud of all of them.”
OFTC’s PBL club advisors are instructors Paul Scott and Mona McLendon.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is a national organization for business technology students, and membership is open to students enrolled in business technology programs.
