OFTC Foundation Receives Generous Donation | Schools

Darrell Howell, in conjunction with Georgia Power, recently donated two Geyser heat pump water heaters for use in the air conditioning programs at Oconee Fall Line Technical College.  
 
This in-kind donation to the OFTC Foundation-South, Inc. will be used for instructional use in the Air Conditional diploma and technical certificate of credit programs.
 
“Having a variety of equipment and technologies for students to work with will help our students be more competitive in the industry after graduation,” said Kevin Livingston, OFTC’s Air Conditioning Technology Instructor.  “It’s the hands-on experience our students have at OFTC – working on different equipment, new technologies, a variety of manufacturers, etc. – that make them so valuable in the industry.”
 
“We appreciate the partnership our Air Conditioning Technology program has with Georgia Power to increase technical and program knowledge to our students through presentation and donations,” continued Livingston. “We invite anyone interested in our program to visit the College, learn more about the A/C programs, and see energy savings products like these new Geyser heat pump water heaters in action.”
 
The OFTC Foundation- South, Inc. is non-profit organization that supports initiatives that assist students at Oconee Fall Line Technical College.
