After serving for over 13 years on the OFTC Foundation South Board of Trustees (formerly Heart of Georgia Technical College Foundation), Jackie Short of Dublin has decided it is time to give up her seat.
Mrs. Short was recognized at the September 10, 2012, meeting of the OFTC Foundation South’s Board of Trustees and was presented a gift and certificate by President Ted Pooler. President Pooler thanked Mrs. Short for her commitment of service to the Board of Trustees since 1999. In addition to the recognition for service, President Pooler announced that Short has been named "Trustee Emeritus".
“Jackie has been a standing member of the board of trustees since I came on board,” commented Jenny Shuman, executive director. “Her enthusiasm and commitment to the Foundation and for the students, faculty, and staff who have benefited from the Foundation, have never wavered. I’m pleased she has accepted the Emeritus status and am delighted to continue to work with her,” continued Shuman.
