Garrett Ingram of Dublin has been awarded the Alton Lee McCullough Scholarship by the OFTC Foundation- South, Inc.

The scholarship is presented annually to a graduating senior from the Laurens County school system who is enrolled in a program of study at Oconee Fall Line Technical College (OFTC). Garrett will graduate from West Laurens High School this year and is currently enrolled in Air Conditioning Technology at OFTC’s South Campus.

The scholarship is given in memory of Alton Lee McCullough, a life-long resident of Laurens County. “Mr. Mac” was a retired vocational teacher, school administrator, and farmer. He was a Laurens County School Superintendent from 1963 to 1971. The Alton Lee McCullough Scholarship, which was established in August 2002, was presented by family members Howard and Doris McCullough Abney.
