The Ronald McDonald House of Central Georgia provides a supportive home-like environment for families during the stressful time of childhood medical care. Families can stay at the House while children are undergoing treatment for serious illnesses.
Roger Byrd, an associate dean of adult education at Oconee Fall Line Technical College in Dublin, always liked the philosophy of the Ronald McDonald House - “Families are stronger when they are together.” That is why he was excited to be asked to join the good work of the organization recently as a member of the Board of Directors.
“Having a child that is seriously ill is difficult enough," said Byrd. "But being separated from that child during the time of illness and treatment is a tremendous burden. The Ronald McDonald House Charity helps to lessen that burden.”
