MILTON ROZIER

MILTON ROZIER

Funeral services for Deacon Milton Curtis Rozier, 67,  will be held on Saturday, November 26, at 1 PM at Buckeye Baptist Church at  2176 New Buckeye Rd in East Dublin. Interment will follow in the Buckeye Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. David Flowers will officiate. 

Deacon Rozier, who passed on November 19, was born in Laurens County, Georgia to the   the late Milton and Annie Rozier. At the age of seven, his family moved to Miami, Florida, where he resided until 1999 when he returned to Dublin and joined Buckeye Baptist Church.

REBBIE WRIGHT

REBBIE WRIGHT

Funeral services for Mrs. Rebbie Wright of 114 MLK Drive, Wrightsville, will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 1pm at the Buckeye Baptist Church. Rev. Tracey Wheeler will be officiating.  Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery in Wrightsville. 

JACK HICKS

A memorial service for Mr. Jack Hicks, 86, will be held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 122 Trinity Road, Dublin,  at 6 PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011.

Mr. Hicks passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011, after an extened stay at the Veterans Nursing Home.  He was a WWII Veteran of the United States Army and served under Generals Patton and MacArthur during his tour of service.

BROWNIE MAE BROWN

BROWNIE MAE BROWN

Funeral services for Mrs. Brownie Mae Hunt Brown will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 1 PM at the St. Galilee Baptist Church in Wrightsville. Rev. Marquis Harden will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Lovett Cemetery. 

Mrs. Brownie Mae Hunt Brown departed this life on November 15, 2011.  She was born on January 24, 1924, to the late Jasper and Katie Hunt of Wrightsville.  She was a faithful member of St. Galilee Baptist Church where she served as Superintendent of the Sunday School, as the WMBS Society Roll Caller, and on the Usher Board.  She was retired from the Buckeye Industry Factory. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Brown and  a grandchild, Rico Brown.

CLAUDIE MARTIN

CLAUDIE MARTIN

Funeral services for Mr. Claudie "Bobby" Martin, 71, will be held on Friday, November 4, at 1 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1567 Ridge Road, in Sandersville. Interment will follow in the Buckeye Baptist Church Cemetery. 

Mr. Martin, who passed on October 29, was born to Izel and Essie Lee Martin who preceded him in death. He attended the Johnson County School System. He retired from Bassett Furniture after more than 30 years.

On June 17, 1976, he married the love of his life, Janice Elaine Devero.

PRENTICE O'NEAL

PRENTICE O'NEAL

Funeral services for Mr. Prentice O’Neal, 52, will be held on Friday, November 4 at 2 PM at the Living Life Church, 600 West Moore Street, Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Bishop Otha Lee Stanley will officiate.

Mr. O’Neal, who passed on October 27, was born to Ernest T. O'Neal and Laura Pearl O'Neal Wright. Mr. O'Neal attended Dublin High School and worked for several years as a tree surgeon with Isaac Tree Services and Chuck Johnson Tree Services. He was affiliated with the Living Life Church under the leadership of Pastor Ryan Wells.

Mr. O'Neal was preceded in death by his father, Ernest T. O'Neal, grandmother, Anna Kemp and wife, Eddie Mae O'Neal.

EDWARD JACKSON

EDWARD JACKSON

Graveside services for Mr. Edward Jackson, 67, will be held on Wednesday, November 2, at 1 PM at Laurens Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Buckeye Road in East Dublin.

Mr. Jackson, who passed on October 29, was born to the late Mr. Dent Jackson, Sr., and Mrs. Donnie Wells Jackson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

At an early age, Mr. Jackson joined Williams Chapel Baptist Church where he served on the Senior Usher Board for some years. He was a retiree of Victor Forstmann and was currently employed by Cordell Lumber Company. He graduated from B.D. Perry High School, won numerous cooking contests and was a Gold member of the Masonic Lodge, Landmark Lodge #64 where he served forty plus years.
