WALTER LINDER

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Linder, 70, will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at 2 PM at the Everlasting Gospel Church in Dublin. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. Bishop H.J. Sinclair will officiate. 

Mr. Linder, who passed on July 19, 2011, was son of the late Walter Linder, II and Louise Linder Williams. He is preceded in death by daughters, Michelle Linder, Vanessa Linder; granddaughter, Nichema Linder and a grandmother, Letha Humphrey. 

Eldridge Chester

Eldridge Chester, Sr., 93, entered into rest on Tuesday, July 19, 2011.

Mr. Chester was born on January 18, 1918 in Dublin, Georgia. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army Air Corp and participated in World War II. He later retired from the Air National Guard as a Lieutenant Colonel. A self-employed Certified Public Accountant, he retired from Houston County Hospital as an Administrator. He was co-founder of the Mossy Creek Festival, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. His parents, Hyman A. Chester and Alberta Smith Chester, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Carolyn Chester; sons E.B. Chester, Jr. (Kay), Phoenix, Arizona, and Bill Chester (Susie), Perry; daughter, Julee Torrance (Bill), Vidalia; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

MARY FRANCES KYLER DAVIS

MARY FRANCES KYLER DAVIS

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Kyler Davis will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2011, at 1 PM at the Living Faith Baptist Church of Dublin. Rev. Jamie T. Paulk will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Dudley Memorial Cemetery. 

She passed into eternal rest on Thursday, July 14, 2011, at Fairview Hospital of Dublin. Mrs. Davis was born to Mr. Christopher “Booze" Kyler and Mrs. Mary Youngblood Kyler on January 28, 1944, in Dublin.  She attended Oconee High School. She was employed by the Dublin Courier Herald for many years.  She was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church where she worked faithfully and was dedicated in her Christian service.  She was known by her church family as being a perfect attending member as she never missed a Sunday from Sunday School and church since the church's inception. She served as a devoted usher to the Usher Ministry and supported her pastor and the church with genuine compassion. 

NORA BELL EDWARDS WIGGINS

NORA BELL EDWARDS WIGGINS
Funeral Services for Mrs. Nora Bell Edwards Wiggins will be held Saturday, July 16, 2011, at 12:00 PM at Greater Victory Temple Church, 511 North Franklin Street, Dublin.  Rev. Wesley Jefferson will be officiating.  Interment will be held at Mt. Green Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Wiggins was employed several years by Groveland Convalescent Home.  She was a very caring and loving mother and grandmother and a member of the Greater Victory Temple Church where she was the Church Mother. 

Mrs. Wiggins was preceded in death by her husband Elisha Wiggins; three sisters, Nonnie Mae Coleman, Fannie Brown and China Norris; four brothers, Lucion Edwards, Abram Edwards, David Edwards, and Solomon Edwards. 

WILLIE M ADAMS, Jr.

Funeral Services for Sergeant Willie M. Adams, Jr., of Atlanta will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, July 15, 2011, at West Hunter Street Baptist Church at 1040 Ralph David Abernathy Dr., Atlanta, GA 30310. Reverend Dr. Toussaint K. Hill, Jr., Pastor, will officiate. Sergeant Adams will lie in-state from 10 AM until the hour of service. Reverend Aldren Sadler, will serve as the eulogist. Interment will follow on Monday, July 18, 2011, at 12 PM at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.  Viewing and visitation will be on Thursday, July 14, from 9AM until 9 PM at the South Dekalb chapel of Levett & Sons Funeral Home; the Family Hour will be from 6-8 PM and the Fraternity Ceremony will commence at 8 PM. 

Sgt. Adams was a retired member of the Atlanta Police and was a licensed funeral director and embalmer at Levett Funeral Home for several years at the Dudley Funeral Home in Dublin for over 40 years. 

DORINE KINCHEN-WRIGHT

DORINE KINCHEN-WRIGHT

Funeral service for Mrs. Dorine Kinchen-Wright of Miami, Florida, will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011, at 12 PM at Pine Hill Christian Church. Minister Iris Miles will officiate. Interment will follow in the New Providence Cemetery in Cadwell.

 Mrs. Kinchen-Wright, who passed on June 29, was born in Cadwell, to James and Ola Bell Kinchen. She was the eighth of thirteen children. She graduated from Pine Forest High School when in 1943 she and her family relocated to Miami, Florida. Dorine's first job in Miami was a childcare provider at Hialeah Daycare Center. She co-owned and operated Midway Restaurant.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wright, and a great-grand daughter.

Bennie Scarborough

 

Funeral services for Mr. Bennie Scarborough, 91, of Cochran who died Friday, July 8, 2011 will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 10, 2011 in Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Ricky Harcrow officiating. Burial will be in Trail Branch Cemetery.

Mr. Scarborough was born in Laurens County, the son of the late Joseph Scarborough and Clara Bennett Scarborough. He had lived in Bleckley County most of his life. He was a retired heavy equipment operator and a member of Trail Branch Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ann Scarborough of Marietta; two sons, Bob Scarborough and John Scarborough of Cochran; brother, Alex Scarborough of

La Grange; three grandchildren, Keith Scarborough of Tampa, Florida, J.J. Scarborough of Macon and Eric Scarborough of Montrose.

The family will meet friends following the service.
