Wiley G. McDaniel

Wiley G. McDaniel, 73, entered into rest on Thursday, October 4, 2012.

W.G. was born on January 31, 1939 in Rentz, Georgia to the late James Caris McDaniel and Emma Lou Passmore McDaniel. He owned and operated McDaniel Cabinet Company for fifty years. W.G.

MSgt. Glenn McGee, USAF (Ret.)

Glenn McGee, 79, entered into rest on Saturday, October 6, 2012.

Mr. McGee was born on March 3, 1933 in Gainesville, Georgia. He retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant having served in the Korean conflict. He then, after working for several years, retired from the Perry Hospital. As a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, he served as deacon and was very active in the Singles ministry, most recently with the New Beginnings Sunday School Class.

Leslie Paul Rogers 1949-2012


MR. LESLIE PAUL ROGERS, age 62, of Chester, GA, died Tuesday,

July 10, 2012 at Serenity Hospice, Dublin, GA.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Thursday, July 12 at Chester Baptist Church, with Rev. Sterling Averett and Rev. Benny Moore officiating, with interment in Bay Springs Cemetery, Rhine.

Mr. Rogers was a member and deacon of Chester Baptist Church, where he also served as a former Sunday school teacher and treasurer.  He was a retired calibration technician for Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratories, former owner & operator of Rogers Grain & Egg Companies and son of the late Jeannette Maddox Rogers & L. D. Rogers.

Donald Lee Ohrmundt


MR. DONALD LEE OHRMUNDT, age 80, of Eastman, GA, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 in the Carl Vinson V. A. Medical Center, Dublin.

Funeral services will held at 11:00AM Friday, June 29 in Southerland Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jack Lee officiating, with interment in Coleman Cemetery, Plainfield.

Mr. Ohrmundt was a native of Shawano, Wisconsin, a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Cadwell, a veteran of the U. S. Navy, a retired production supervisor for Betz Chemical Company, Trevose, PA and son of the late Clara Bublitz Ohrmundt & Roland Ohrmundt.  He was preceded in death by a Sister – Helen Druckey and 2 Brothers – Emory Ohrmundt & Ervin Ohrmundt.

Alesia Faye (Lisa) Hall


Memorial services for Alesia Faye (Lisa) Hall, 50, of Macon who died Tuesday,

June 5, 2012 will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Friday night in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home with Rev. Chad Zueck officiating.

 Lisa was born in Pulaski County and had lived in Macon since 2004 moving from Dublin. She was a 1979 graduate of Bleckley County High School and attended the Heart of Georgia Technical College in Dublin. She was an employee of Lowe’s in Macon and a member of Cochran First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, James and Mary Hall of Dublin; sisters, Sharon Warren of Dublin and Robin (Clay) Pfannkuche of Warner Robins; brother, Jim Hall of Dublin; close family friend, Kim Itson of Macon; several nieces and nephews.

Fred Evans


Funeral services for Mr. Fred Evans, 62, of Panama City Beach, Florida, formerly of Cochran, who died Monday, May 28, 2012 will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, June 1, 2012 in the Chapel of Fisher Funeral Home. Burial will be in Salem Baptist Cemetery.

Mr. Evans was born in Laurens County, the son of the late Lamar Evans. He had lived in Panama City, Florida for the past 20 years. He was retired from National Coating and Supply Company. He was a graduate of Cochran High School Class of 1969 and was a member of Agape Baptist Church in Panama City. He was a former member and past president of the Cochran-Bleckley Jaycees and preceded in death by a sister, Brenda   Milnor and a brother, W.L. Evans.

Darthey Ann 'Dot' McCranie Allen 1943-2012


MRS. DARTHEY ANN “DOT” McCRANIE ALLEN, age 69, of Eastman, GA, died Tuesday, May 22, 2012 in Dublinair Nursing Home, Dublin.

 Graveside services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, May 25 in Parkerson Cemetery, with Rev. Charles Robinson and Rev. Ronny Moore officiating.

Mrs. Allen was a member of Gresston Baptist Church, a retired CNA for Fairview Park Hospital, Dublin, daughter of the late Ruby Coody McCranie-Pierce & James Alex McCranie and widow of William “Billy” Allen, Sr.  She was preceded in death by 2 Daughters – Allison Bozeman and Sheila Allen and 2 Brothers – Robert McCranie and Jarrell McCranie.
