Rep. Barrow's Son Arrested for DUI, Other Charges | News
The Athens-Banner Herald is reporting Congressman John Barrow's son has been arrested for DUI and other charges by Athens-Clarke County police.
The Athens-Clarke County Jail shows James Barrow, 19, was booked at 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, January 12th. Authorities charged Barrow with DUI, marijuana possesion and speeding. He was later released at 10:40 p.m. the same day.
The teenager had 1 oz. of pot on him when arrested. The paper reports he was released on $2,000 bond.
All of the charges are misdemeanors.
The jail shows Barrow lives at an Athens address.
Congressman Barrow's office has not released a statement. Voters reelected him to another term representing Georgia's 12th Congressional District.
