West Laurens Defensive Coordinator Named Houston Co. Head Coach | HS Sports

The Houston County Board of Education approved the hiring of a new head coach for the Bears Tuesday afternoon.

Von Lassiter will become the fourth Head Coach and Athletic Director of Houston County High School.  The Bears went 3-7 last season under Greg Robinson.  Robinson resigned at the end of the season.

Lassiter is currently the defensive coordinator at West Laurens.  He also spend time as offensive coordinator at Bleckley County and the runningbacks' coach at Northside in 2007.

This will be his first head coaching job.
