Laurens Co. Student Killed in ATV Accident | Families

An officer with the Georgia State Patrol says 15-year-old Tucker Slaughter, a West Laurens High student, died after his four- wheeler crashed on Alcorn Road in Dexter.

That happened Tuesday afternoon. Laurens County schools were closed for the day due to the weather.

The officer says the boy and a passenger were ejected from the ATV. Slaughter's passenger had minor injuries.

He says the two, along with a friend in another four-wheeler, were driving to see friends.

No charges were filed.
