Easter Bunny Visits Dublin Mall

The Easter Bunny visits the Dublin Mall this month.

April 15 marks Pajama Night with the Easter Bunny from 4 until 8 p.m. Children can wear their pajamas for their photo with the Easter Bunny.

April 22 Bring your pets to have their photo taken with the Easter Bunny from 4-8 p.m.

The mall will be closed on Easter, April 24.

Local Church Hosts Interactive Journey of Life of Jesus

Grace Baptist Church (GBC) will host “Come! Let’s Find Jesus” on the grounds of the Laurens Baptist Association on the evenings of April 15th & 16th.  

Guides will take you on an interactive journey through eleven Biblical scenes from Jesus’ birth in a manger to His crucifixion on the cross and His ascension to Heaven.  The 30-minute group walking tours will begin at 8:00PM and continue until 10:00PM.  “Come! Let’s Find Jesus” was written by Joan Brantley, a member of GBC.  

This production involves over 75 active participants.  

One scene will include live animals: a donkey, a sheep, a lamb and chickens.

Junior Journalist Auditions

Junior journalist auditions will take place today at the Galleria Mall in Centerville from 4-6 p.m.

The child auditioning must be born between August 1, 1998 and August 1, 2001. You must bring proof of date of birth to the audition.

The audition in Macon will take place Tuesday, April 5 from 4-6 p.m. in the Museum of Arts and Sciences.

The children will be scored on the spot during the first round of auditions. The top scoring 50 kids will be called back for a second round, where they will answer questions on camera. A panel of 13WMAZ employees will judge those auditions. The top scoring 25 kids will move on to a final round that will be judged by a community panel. We will not contact the children between rounds 2 and 3. We will surprise the winning children in their classrooms before school lets out for the summer.

Relish Magazine Cooking Show to Feature British Chef

The Relish Magazine Cooking Show will take place April 28 from 4 until 9 p.m.

Celebrity British Chef Jon Ashton will present a cooking show. Ashton will prepare recipes with cooking tips.

Prior to the cooking show, there will be an expo for all attendees to visit exhibit booths sponsored by local vendors.

For those purchasing VIP/Backstage passes there will be a special event "backstage" prior to the show.

The cooking show will take place in the DuBose Porter Center at the Heart of Georgia Technical College campus.
