Dublin Police Department to hold 911 training for explorers program

The Dublin Police Department is holding a 911 & Communications training for its Explorers Program Thursday, August 20 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Laurens County 911 Center.

Lt. Rene Laird with the department said the program is for kids from ages 14 to 21. She said examples of other trainings include impaired driving, accident investigation and CPR/first aid. 

In order to register, please contact Lt. Laird at 478-277-5023 and leave her a message or teens can show up to the Center and applications will be provided then.

Stroll through OFTC's Festival of Trees

Dublin, GA - The OFTC Foundation-South is proud to present the Festival of Trees again this year! Twenty-four decorated trees are in Oconee Fall Line Technical College's Porter Center in Dublin. The public is invited to stroll through the beautiful trees!

A special thanks to the local organizations who decorated trees and the OFTC faculty, staff, and students who made ornaments for and decorated the OFTC tree.

During your stroll, take a moment to notice the star on the OFTC tree made by OFTC Machine Tool Technology Instructor David Hall and his students.

The trees will be up for public viewing until December 15th.
