Macon Driver Leads Points Standings in American Dirt Series 2012 | Community Spirit
Chaz Haskins, Popular stock car race driver from Macon, Ga. leads American Dirt Late Model "Super 7" Series with 194 points going into race # 6 Dublin Tire Company/Brooks Equipment Rentals at Dublin-441 Speedway this Sat. Sept. 15th. Haskins, winner of "Super 7" # 2 earlier this year at 441, has been a constant contender at 441 & Cochran Motor Speedway during the first 5 races of the series. Another middle Geogia driver, Brad Comer of Gray, is just 26 points behind Haskins this week. Blake Smith of Dublin is third with 154 points, Phil Pittman of Vidalia is 4th with 152 and Robert Diekeemper of Bloomingdale is 5th, with 140. A record number of drivers are expected this Sat. night for the 40-lap, $2,000 to win event including two time winner Ben Faircloth of Swainsboro, Ga. The "Super 7" Series is named in honor of Arlene Pittman, who lost Her life in December 2011 with cancer. The Series Memorial Race in Her honor will be # 7 on Nov. 3rd at Dublin-441 Speedway. Gates open this Sat. at 5:00 p.m. with racing at 8:00 p.m.
