And Friday, Jeralean Talley will hit a milestone only a handful in the world ever have experienced: She turns 115.

The Inkster, Mich., woman, who bowled until she was 104, went fishing last year, and still gets around on her own with the help of a walker, had some memorable birthday gifts in recent years, including checks for $113 — a dollar for every year she lived at that point — and jewelry from a couple of her doctors.

Walker had the idea of showcasing videos of people from small towns and combining it with ecommerce. That means consumers can watch a video online and buy a product at the same time. In turn, the performer can make money.

Herschel Walker hosting contest Saturday in Dublin

Herschel Walker is hosting a talent contest at 3 p.m. Saturday at Theater Dublin, 314 Academy Ave.

The contest, called Herschel's Raw Talent, is open to the public and anyone with "talent," according to a news release from organizers.

Auditions should be two and a half minutes of "raw talent."

First place winner gets $1,000; second place, $500; and third, $250.
