A new bakery has come to town.

Known as Sweet Creations, located on Rice Avenue, they'll celebrate their opening with a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, August 14 at 2 p.m.

Chamber Celebrates Credit Union's Remodel

The Dublin Chamber celebrates a local credit union's remodel with a ribbon cutting.

Georgia United Credit Union recently remodeled its Dublin branch and celebrates Tuesday, August 13 at 10 a.m.

The chamber plans for the celebration to last until 4 p.m. with treats and prizes, including a grand prize of a $500 Visa gift card.

Kick Stands Up in Honor of Public Safety Servants

A "9/11 Ride to Remember" event is planned to honor all public safety servants in Georgia and those who served on September 11, 2001.

The motorcycle ride, on September 7, has four different starting points: Dublin, Warner Robins, Grifffin and Lawrenceville and everyone will meet up at the rally point at Georgia Public Safety Center in Forsyth.

The pre-registration fee is $20 per biker, $10 per passenger.

Set a goal to read a certain amount of books, with a minimum of six.

Last day to register is June 29.  Programs are Wednesdays at 2 p.m.

This summer, the Dublin City School nutrition program serves free meals to kids between ages 1 and 18.

That's from June 3 through June 28 and again from July 8 through July 24.
