Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall Visits Dublin August 14-17th

Dublin-Laurens County Historical Society and John Laurens Chapter of DAR have partnered to bring the Vietnam Memorial Traveling Wall to the Carl Vinson VA Medical Center from August 14-17th. Open 24 hours a day, the Wall That Heals exhibition features a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.  As on The Wall, the names on The Wall That Heals are listed by day of casualty.

The mobile museum exhibits tell the story of the Vietnam War, The Wall and the era surrounding the conflict, and are designed to put American experiences in Vietnam in a historical and cultural context.

Volunteers and sponsors are needed to help with landscaping, fundraising, and to staff the exhibit. To help, please call Johnny Payne at 478-689-5035.
