A new rule in GHSA sports gave teams an option. They could have ten days of spring football practice to get the team ready, or they could play in two preseason scrimmages. East Laurens coach Gary Morton and his staff chose the scrimmage option, but the weather had other plans. The Falcons were supposed to scrimmage Montgomery County on August 8th, but the gane was rained out after a handful of plays from scrimmage.

Water outage planned for specific area in Dublin

Residents who live in a certain area of Dublin will experience a planned water outage Wednesday.

According to a release on the City of Dublin's Facebook page, residents who live on Magnolia Drive between Rutland and Ray Street won't have water from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Wednesday, August 13.

"This is due to a system tie in which is necessary in this area due to the construction of new water mains."

Dublin man charged with shooting six people

A Dublin man is accused of shooting six people outside a Wrightsville club early Sunday.

It happened around 2 a.m. at a club named Ed's 8 Ball on Idylwild Drive.

Wrightsville police say they arrested Michael Harvey, age 21, in Laurens County Monday morning.
